  • Favorite Food: Always Pizza
  • On my iPod right now is: Pillar, Skillet, Daughtry, and all the 80's songs it will hold!
  • Favorite Dessert: I can crush some chocolate! Pretty much anything chocolate is a favorite but there are a few chocolate treats I can't turn down; Cheesecake Factory Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake, Cold Stone Creamery "Chocolate Devotion" and the Ghiradelli brownies Brooke bakes served up with some Breyer's Vanilla Bean ice cream...YUM!

My Hobbies

  • I love to fish. It is a chance for me to escape, unwind and just enjoy a little slower pace than what the baseball season demands.

  • Surfing. I grew up about 50 miles from Cocoa Beach and I learned to surf there. Even though I love it, I gave it up when I made it to the Big Leagues, to not risk an injury or jeopardize my career.

  • Brooke and I have an ongoing challenge with each other to know as many college mascots as we can. We started doing it as a joke when we first started dating but it has become pretty competitive!

  • March Madness and college basketball is huge in our house. We all fill out brackets and watch as many games as possible. It can get VERY competitive!

  • We live about 15 minutes from Walt Disney World and we make weekly trips over to the theme parks with the kids. We collect the characters autographs and try to get the most rare characters. One of my favorite spots to take Brooke is for sushi in Japan at EPCOT.

  • We are huge Dave and Busters fans! (It's like Chuck E. Cheese for grown ups.) We track them down in nearly every city we play in and are still waiting for them to bring one to Orlando!

Surprising Facts

  • I was cut from the baseball team my freshman year of high school.
  • I wanted to be a weatherman if baseball didn't work out!
  • I am scared of heights, but I love roller coasters!
  • I have a collection of over 50,000 baseball cards going back to the early 1980's when I started collecting as a kid.
  • I was Mr. Incredible for Halloween last year. My sons were Dash and Jack-Jack and Brooke was Elastigirl!
  • Brooke and I want to visit the 7 Wonders of the World.
  • The first time I left Florida was the summer after my freshman year of college when I went to Virginia to play in the Valley League.
  • I have over 11,000 songs on my computer that includes pretty much every genre and decade since 1960.
  • I make a killer Grilled Cheese sandwich!
